The bodies of 54-year-old Marisol Nunez and her 33-year-old daughter Catherine Nunez were found on Wednesday, Oct. 30, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw said in a news release.

Willingboro police responded to a burglary report at their home on Harrington Circle in the Hawthorne Park neighborhood just after 4 a.m. Officers discovered the women in an upstairs bedroom.

The mother and daughter were pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy determined their cause of death was gunshot wounds.

Investigators said the suspect broke a first-floor window to get into the home and left before police arrived. No arrests have been made as of Thursday, Oct. 31.

The shooting was not thought to be a random attack. Prosecutors said police didn't believe other residents in the neighborhood were in danger.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call the Willingboro Township Police Department at 609-877-6958.
